A Washington state woman who allegedly married a 78-year-old man with dementia for his money says she does not want the marriage annulled.
Sunjinda Yahatta, 56, of Bellevue who met her husband-to-be when she was hired to give him a massage, and her friend, Kulany Roeksbutr, 29, have been charged with kidnapping and theft by deception, the Seattle Times reported. They were arraigned Tuesday and pleaded not guilty.
Investigators say that the women took the man out of an Issaquah nursing home against the directions of the staff, went to the courthouse where he and Yahatta were married and then immediately took him to a bank to clean out his account. Tellers at the bank, concerned because the man did not appear to know what was going on, called police.
Yahatta told reporters she had been served with paperwork for an annulment but had not yet filled it out. Her lawyer then advised her not to say anything else.
Her lawyer, David Gehrke, said she and the man had had a "long-term relationship."
Health and Beauty Tip -- A Semi-Formal Ponytail
Yes, a ponytail can look nice at the office or a dinner out! Part your hair a bit off-center, and make a loose ponytail in the lower middle of the back of your head. Make sure to dry your hair with a blow dryer and comb it straight. As easy as it might be, making a ponytail while your hair is still wet doesn't look good at all!
